American Idol???

Okay, so I am a huge, huge fan of American Idol. I DVR the show every week and rush home just to watch it. This season, I think, is not better than past seasons. Of all the seasons, I would have to say last year was the best b/c look at how many people came out of there with deals and chart-topping songs. There is really only two people that stand out to me this year...Lakisha and Melinda. These two have real talent by far. In fact, I dont' even think they need the show anymore. I think they should be signed right now b/c I would definitely buy either one of their CDs. There are only two guys that stand out to me...Chris S. and Blake. I think Chris brings a totally different passion to this than anyone in the past. And Blake, the beat-boxer, is just unique. Last night's show kicked off 4 more people to get to their top 12. I am so disappointed in both the results and the voting system. I have tried voting numerous times by phone and can never get through. I can't text my answer b/c I don't have Cingular. And there is no voting online. But America got this wrong!!! PEOPLE...THIS IS A SINGING COMPETITION!!! NOT A POPULARITY CONTEST!!! I'm sorry Sanjaya, but you can not sing and you need to realize this, step aside and let a really good singer in. Sundance was a very good singer and he had this passion that came through. When I watch Sanjaya, it is like a really bad talent contest. As for the girls, I'm glad that Antonella is finally gone. But unfortunately, Stephanie had to go b/c America got it wrong...again. This girl was an absolutely amazing singer. A girl by the name of Haley was put into the top 12. Now Haley is an average singer but not a standout like everyone else. Stephanie was the better singer and I hope someone out there sees that and signs her. It actually scares me what the results will be the rest of the season. Will Sanjaya make it to the top 2? All I have to say is that if he does, the voting system needs to be looked at to give more people a chance to vote...and maybe there should be a one vote per household limit. People with real talent need to be in the top...not the people you feel sorry for. This season should come down to Lakisha and Melinda b/c they have "brought it" every time.

RIP Friend's Blog

One of my friends, who is also a co-worker, has this fascinating blog. He is an amazing writer and I find myself waking up in the morning and looking at his blog to see what situations he has encountered the day before. He has also blogged about his frustrations at work. I must say it is nice to see that I am not the only one frustrated with my job. He does work in a different department from me but we all seem to have the same problems...management. Now, my bosses, yes I have two, are the best bosses I person could ask for. They have an open door policy and stick to it. You can tell them pretty much anything and they will keep it to themselves. I have even gone in their office, slammed the door shut and completely bitched about work...and they listen. Now our other managers...well, lets just say I don't know where to begin....think the total opposite of my bosses and that is pretty much what you get. So it is nice to read his blog just to hear him open up about his job and his life problems and I can relate them to mine. I really do hope he continues to write his blog...and if he does, I will share the link with you guys.
